After a successful outing at Web Summit Qatar earlier this year, we’re thrilled to announce that HTCD will be attending Web Summit Lisbon 2024 as a BETA startup. The event takes place from 11-14 November 2024 at the MEO Arena, Lisbon, and we’ll be exhibiting on Tuesday, 12 November at stand no. B110. We’re excited to join thousands of innovators, industry experts, and visionaries at one of the world’s leading tech events. Representing HTCD at Web Summit Lisbon will be Shaan Mulchandani, our Founder & CEO, William Becerra, Director of Engineering, Regan van Heerden, Principal Engineer, and Riku le Roux, Senior UX/UI Engineer.
Team HTCD is looking forward to exploring new ideas and connections. Here’s a look at the top five things we’re excited about at this edition of the Web Summit:
1. Stellar Speaker Lineup
The lineup this year is incredible, featuring some massive names from across various industries. To give you a little taste of how diverse the lineup is, just some of those we’re particularly excited to hear from include Pharrell Williams—renowned artist and entrepreneur; John Graham-Cumming, who is the CTO of renowned cloud service management firm Cloudflare; Lidiane Jones, CEO of dating app Bumble; Frank Cooper, CMO of financial juggernauts Visa; Ann Irvine, CDO of the cybersecurity solution—Resilience; and Omar Berrada, CEO of Manchester United (which also just so happens to be our Founder & CEO’s favorite soccer team!), among many others. With such a diverse range of insights, we can’t wait to soak in new perspectives that can shape the future of technology and business.
2. Competing in the PITCH Competition
We’re honored to be selected to pitch HTCD on the Web Summit Lisbon stage! The PITCH competition is known for spotlighting promising startups, and we’re thrilled to be taking part. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our cloud security and compliance SaaS solution and gain valuable feedback from industry leaders and peers. We will be participating in the first round on Tuesday, November 12, as part of Group 4 at Stage 06 from 11:00 am, so keep an eye out for us.
3. Mentor Hours
One of the highlights we’re looking forward to is the Mentor Hours program. This unique opportunity allows us to meet with seasoned mentors who can guide us, answer questions, and provide invaluable insights into scaling and refining our approach. We’re eager to meet our startup Obi-Wan Kenobi and learn as much as we can from their experience.
4. Networking at the Night Summit
The Night Summit brings an entirely different experience to the table, with a more relaxed environment for networking, meeting new contacts, and enjoying mixers with attendees from around the world. We’re looking forward to these casual and productive evenings, which often spark great ideas and partnerships. An opportunity to let our hair down after the intensity of the regular summit hours sounds just about perfect!
5. Inspiring Innovations from Fellow Startups
Finally, we’re excited to see what other startups are bringing to the table this year. The innovative and forward-thinking products and services on display will undoubtedly be a source of motivation for us as we continue to push boundaries in cloud security. It’s always inspiring to see what’s next in the industry!
